Between the 24th – 26th of September, we held our project Kick- off, hosted in the “Museo Geominero” (IGME-CSIC), in Madrid. This meeting, organised by the coordinator Instituto Geológico y Minero de España, was an excellent opportunity to meet in person, discuss and organize the work ahead for the coming 4 years, with the participation of all project partners.
The event started with the presentation by the coordinating institution IGME CSIC, who provided an overview of the project and the most important topics that the meeting would address. After that, each WP leader was invited to present their respective work, explaining briefly about their role and any update they may had during this first stage of the project. At the end of the second day, it concluded with a short open discussion about the needs and involvement of all project partners.
Finally, the third day, partners had the opportunity to visit some local Nbs-hydrogeology project sites such as the “Neutralization Plan of the Manzanares River” lead by Madrid City Council and the “Bluebloqs circular water system” lead by UPM.
